Nestled was asked to design their third show home for Hoober Homes at their new development, Bertone Meadows. We were excited for the opportunity to work with the Hoober Homes team again and create something beautiful for their new project. The new development of 79 homes, set in the small village of Broughton, North Lincolnshire, is surrounded by idyllic countryside. The design of the show home draws inspiration from the locations colour palette, natural materials and form.

The Kitchen, the hub of the home, has a true classic country feel to it. We used a delicate two toned wallpaper, with silhouettes of wild flowers, as the backdrop to a traditional oak plate display - Here we made a home for a collection of crisp white china. The dining table, with a double dining bench offers plenty of seating for this dual purpose space. Above the staggered opal ceiling pendants, with traditional chain detailing, zones the dining area. Styling throughout the Kitchen area is a mix of preloved finds and new pieces for the perfect balance.

Through in the Lounge, we used a soft, plaster effect wallpaper to add texture to the two largest walls. The chunky, solid sideboard with cane sliding doors is a focal point, with a carved mantle mirror above. The sofa is a traditional, classic style with rolled arms, embroidered pin stripe detailing and sits on brass castor feet. In the centre, a large fluted metal coffee table, with high polished brass contrasting top. Suspended above, an opal shade chandelier in antique brass. We wanted this space to feel collected over time and used vintage artwork and styling pieces to the oak shelving.

In the Primary bedroom, the three quarter high panelling, with display ledge, adds character to this newly built home - Vintage artwork was then used to style. We selected two wallpapers, a subtle choice above the panelling and a darker basket weave on the opposite wall. Here we have a dark wood full length arched mirror and bronze wall light for a modern touch. On the bed, we mixed patterns and tone for an effortless layered look. The white washed bedsides, with woven panel inserts, contrast to the rich chocolate table lamps. Above, the generous pleated linen ceiling light feels like a canopy and adds another level of drama to the space.

For the guest room, we kept it light and gave it a more informal look. The subtle toned water colour effect wallpaper mural is a gentle focal point. The cane headboard and bedside cabinets contrast against it for added depth, while the bed linens are light and informal.

In the children's room, the floral wallpaper was the starting point and inspiration for the room's design, with soft muted dusky pinks and yellows. Used on the window wall, the wallpaper draws your eye through the space. The bed has two bespoke headboards, to the head and foot, both with a charming bow detail. We layered the bed with florals of varying scales and tone for a playful look. On the other side of the room, we used a two toned traditional stripe to contrast to the florals. Here we styled with a  dolls tea party and to the wooden peg shelving, treasured toys and belongs.
