We’re a WINNER baby! Off to the National final at IdeaFest we go…

It was a buzzing event at Everyman, Leeds - Fizz, popcorn, velvet sofas and stories shared with the other start ups that had also been shortlisted in their categories. So many inspiring people and busineses, all doing their thing and navigating the start up journey.

Our category was third or fourth in the line up, so we didn't have long to wait and hold our breath for. We couldn't believe it when Nestleds name was called out and named the winner of the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber UK StartUp Awards in the Constructions and Building Services category. We were thrilled to be shortlisted, never mind winning. A year or so ago, Nestled was just conversations with friends and family, but here we were now, an award winning studio.

The response to the win has been amazing, so much support and love shared for Nestled. It's one thing people close to you championing what you're doing but a completely different feeling when judges see something in what you're building and achieving. Here's what they said:

"Nestled impressed through its thoughtful approach to sustainable interior design for new homes and the business has already delivered show home projects across the UK despite being at an early stage. It is a strong example of resilience, craft and commercial opportunity. And its emphasis on responsible sourcing, longevity and client relationships, gives it a clear point of difference with the judges recognising the founders ability to turn redundancy into a credible new design studio"

Next, we are off to the National finals at Ideas Fest at Champneys, Trigg for a two day event. Think of it as a festival for businesses, with talks, activities, networking and good food. The winners of each category will be announced on Wednesday 9th September - We will be keeping our fingers and toes crossed until then!
