We’ve been a bit busy

At Nestled, every design is a story. 

Over the past few months, we've been hard at work designing and delivering. This has culminated in a new partnership with Hoober Homes, a family business building homes in the north, and the delivery of a project that shares everything we stand for: beautiful design and a commitment to sustainability.

This article shares a little about that process.

Sustainable sourcing

Our passion for interior design matches our dedication to the environment. This past half-year has seen us deepen our commitment to sustainable sourcing. 

We spend a lot of time selecting eco-friendly materials, ensuring our interiors are as responsible as they are beautiful. For this particular Hoober Homes project, we’ve incorporated recycled beds and mattresses, alongside sustainable woods that are FSC-certified and paints with zero or low VOCs.

Reuse, recycle

For a lot of the products we select this isn’t their first home. The initial manufacturing of a product creates a large carbon footprint and our job is to minimise that as much as possible. This often takes a little more time than buying brand new but that extra investment is worth the effort to deliver on our values.

To ensure we're pushing the boundaries with more sustainable design we've been actively engaging with suppliers and exploring new materials. Our team visited industry events like the January Furniture Show, where we found new furniture pieces crafted from reclaimed wood and recycled materials. We also attended the Spring Autumn Fair, a UK trade show for home and giftware, which provided further opportunities to connect with suppliers who share our values. These visits allowed us to see firsthand examples of how sustainable practices are being integrated into product development.

Experimenting with our own designs

For when we can’t find that perfect product we make our own! We’ve designed our very own Nestled wallpaper. Featuring foxgloves and other woodland flowers, this unique design was created and manufactured right here in the UK, utilising solvent-free eco-inks.

New partnerships and successful delivery

We're excited to announce our new partnership with Hoober Homes, a developer whose commitment to quality aligns perfectly with our own. We are now delivering a second site for them, one very close to our roots, allowing us to bring our unique blend of style and sustainability to even more new homeowners.

To manage our growing portfolio of projects and ensure smooth delivery, we've been hard at work developing our own proprietary software. This allows us to streamline our processes, from initial brief to final installation, ensuring every project is delivered on time and exactly as planned.

Looking ahead, Nestled is expanding its reach, now delivering inviting interior design projects across North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, and Scotland. We're excited to bring our passion for creating beautiful, sustainable spaces to even more clients, helping them to live beautifully, and of course, get nestled.
